And Max Lucado has a few children's books out that are great; I especially love Hermie: The Common Caterpillar.<BR/>Other suggestions - God Gave Us You by Lisa Tawn Bergren. The Rainbow Fish by Marcus Pfister. The Berenstain Bears: God Loves You! And obviously, any "beginner Bibles" ... with pictures, of course! Finally, I think C.S.
