Back in Liberia...Safe & Sound!

Just a quick note to let you all know that I made it to Liberia safe and sound earlier tonight! It was surprisingly a pretty painless journey! It was 86 degrees when I landed--praise the Lord, I thought it was going to be hotter. There were 3 wonderful faces--Deb, Elena and Alvina--waiting for me outside! Drove home looking at a beautiful Liberian sunset! Pulled in the driveway to Menitama's music and OneLove and Dude jumping all over me. That was quickly followed by hugs all around. Jollof rice. Surprising Momo--he was so excited, he picked me up and spun me around! I'm mostly unpacked. Talked with one of our security guards for awhile. Had a delightful, room temp. shower under the full moon...can we say, amazing?! I've missed my outdoor shower! Lugged a bucket of water down the hall to flush the toilet with. Had jollof rice again...I've also missed Ma Mary's cooking! And now I'm about to go crawl under my mosquito net. I've got the weekend to finish unpacking and get settled in and to just relax--there's already been talk of taking a dip tomorrow (watch out, here comes the really white woman!). Dinner with friends tomorrow night to celebrate a birthday. It feels good. It feels normal. Back in the swing of things. Can't wait to see the kids! Love to you all. Thanks for your prayers!
